This New Nigeria
I guess one of the main reasons why I don't write on my blog more often is the time difference that exists from when I think of what I want to write and when I actually get a chance to do the writing.I attended a programme last Oct 1 (well, Oct 1 was the day 2), called the Platform. One of the key issues I got out of the programme was that there are many people in Nigeria who are actually thinking of and doing things to produce what I call the "New Nigeria". This New Nigeria obviously cannot be like the old one where all sorts of "anti-everything" (permit me to speak freely), holds sway.
I will not try in this one time to outline everything now. I will however start by asking readers to send me their comments on "actionable" ideas that 'we' can develop to move this country forward to a state/place where they would be proud of. You see, as I told a friend of mine in a discussion this week which sort of centered on the role different individuals play in Nigeria. My take was that we needed more people with "action" and less talk. (am I sounding like a radion station?) What do you think?
