Bird Flu in Nigeria

My thoughts on the latest news in Nigeria

I am hoping at least that those that call themselves christians amongst 'our people' would do what really has to be done in situations like this. Hopefully, people will not start by speaking all the wrong words and actually empower the disease in our land. I really hope that people have and will say the right things.

Lets see....
Just my thoughts.

Well, to be frank, initially when i heard about the possible break out of an epidemic, I thought, "here they go again," (the press, I mean). Having lived in the "developed" world for a little while, I have soon come to realise that the press has a strong grip on people and so I tend to take their reports with a pinch of salt, or two.

Back to the subject. I am surprised that the virus has crossed over the middle east, the sahara, and many other countries to find itself in Kano of all places. Then we are told it is a different strain!

Well, my brother, as you mentioned. the work of the believer in situations like these are beyond face value. The real issue is hidden. Somehow, I feel it is no accident! I agree we should not give it unnecessary publicity and patronage by debating the issue and talking about all it's "qualities" but I daresay, there is a hidden battle that need be fought by prayer.
